8th October 2025

Jonathan Guest of Safety Shield Global has been recognised as One to Watch in The LDC Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders programme for 2025.

The Top 50 was created by LDC, the private equity investor that is part of Lloyds Banking Group, in partnership with The Times. Now in its eighth year, the programme continues to celebrate the drive and ambition of Britain’s best and brightest entrepreneurs.

This year the programme received almost 700 nominations, showcasing the exceptional individuals that are building successful, growing medium-sized businesses right across the UK.

The business leaders featured in The LDC Top 50 for 2025 are making a powerful impact by creating jobs, making a difference in the communities they serve, championing sustainability and expanding internationally. They are also demonstrating resilience as they drive growth and develop new ideas to innovate and diversify.

They operate from 67 towns and cities across the UK and span every sector of the economy, whilst collectively they employ almost 10,000 people and generate combined revenues of £1.2bn.

The Ones to Watch are those individuals that are making significant progress and scaling their businesses. They are leaders who excel in their fields, create a positive impact on their customers and employees, and stand out for their potential to reach even greater success in the years ahead.

Safety Shield Global CEO and Founder, Jonathan Guest, launched the business 15 years ago following the death of a close friend who was crushed to death while working on a construction site. He has dedicated his working life to making sure such incidents never happen again. Safety Shield Global is a pioneering force in digital safety solutions, transforming how people act and behave around machines, with intelligent systems, real insights, and measurable safety outcomes resulting in real behavioural change. Construction giants Balfour Beatty, Lynch and Flannery have already begun their safety journey with Safety Shield Global, while the technology is also being utilised on such major projects as HS2 and the Thames Gateway. It is also being diversified into such industries as forestry, quarrying, utilities, highways and waste management.

Jonathan Guest, CEO and Founder of Safety Shield Global said: "It is a privilege to be recognised in the LDC Top 50. The ambition for me and my Safety Shield Global team is clear, to save lives.
