Modern Slavery Policy

PURPOSE

Safety Shield Global is committed to acting ethically, with integrity, and in compliance with all applicable laws to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking do not occur in any part of our operations or supply chains. This policy sets out the steps we take to prevent slavery and trafficking and reinforces our commitment to transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.

SCOPE

This policy applies to:

·         All employees, full-time and part-time, temporary employees, contractors and volunteers

·         All suppliers, subcontractors, and business partners in our supply chains

·         Any third party acting on behalf of Safety Shield Global

Safety Shield Global is committed to:

1.    Identifying and assessing potential risk areas in our supply chains and operations.

2.    Mitigating the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our supply chains.

3.    Ensuring that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in any part of our business or supply chains, by conducting due diligence on suppliers and partners.

4.    Training our employees and raising awareness about the risks of modern slavery.

5.    Providing a mechanism for employees, suppliers, and other stakeholders to report any concerns about modern slavery.

6.    Ensuring any reports of modern slavery are investigated and appropriate actions taken.

7.    Complying with all applicable laws and regulations related to modern slavery, including the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Safety Shield Global recognises its obligations under:

·         Modern Slavery Act 2015 (UK) , including Section 54 on transparency in supply chains

·         Updated Transparency in Supply Chains Guidance (March 2025) issued by the UK Home Office

·         Relevant internation frameworks such as the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and ILO Conventions on forced labour

RESPONSIBILITIES

All employees, contractors, and business partners are responsible for being alert to the risk of modern slavery and for reporting any concerns they have to the CEO or a member of the board

CEO and Board Members

·         Conducting risk assessments and due diligence on suppliers and partners

·         Ensuring appropriate training and awareness-raising activities are in place

·         Investigating any reports of modern slavery and taking necessary actions

Managers and Employees

·         Maintain vigilance for signs of modern slavery and trafficking in all business operations.

·         Follow due diligence procedures when engaging suppliers and contractors.

·         Report any concerns immediately to the CEO, Board, or via whistleblowing channels.

·         Participate in mandatory training programs on modern slavery awareness.

Suppliers and Contractors

·         Comply with Safety Shield Global’s anti-slavery standards.

·         Permit audits and provide information for risk assessments.

·         Immediately report any suspected modern slavery or human trafficking within their operations or supply chains.

REPORTING CONCERNS

If any employee, contractor, or business partner has a concern about modern slavery taking place within our operations or supply chains, they should report it immediately to the CEO, a member of the board or through any of our whistleblowing methods.

All reports will be investigated promptly, and appropriate corrective or remedial action will be taken.

TRAINING AND AWARENESS

All employees, particularly in procurement, supply chain, and leadership positions, will receive training on modern slavery risks, red flags, reporting procedures, and their responsibilities under this policy.

Refresher training will be conducted annually to ensure awareness of changes in legislation and company practices.

MONITORING, REVIEW AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

The Board will oversee annual reviews of this policy and its effectiveness.

Safety Shield Global will update this policy as needed to reflect legal changes, guidance updates, and evolving best practice.
